Gifts and donations

Do we accept gifts and donations? Absolutely!

OCPA is a great, essential resource for Orange County theatre – a wellspring of bold, creative playwriting, a launch pad for new work being produced locally and across the country. We’re a theatre company without walls, but we do have expenses: OCPA’s new play events, held at the Chance Theater, Grand Central Art Center, Newport Theatre Arts Center and other respected OC venues, cost thousands of dollars each year to produce.

Your donation today can help keep OCPA an essential resource for Orange County theatre. Whether it is just $10 or $100, your gift can be the financial spark that brings valuable stories to life – and since OCPA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, your donation is tax-deductible as allowable by current state and federal laws.

Thanks to the CARES Act of 2020, you may take an above-the-line (i.e., non-itemized) federal tax deduction for your cash gifts to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations – such as OCPA – in 2021. Single filers can deduct up to $300 of their 2021 gifts to charities and non-profits on their 1040 form, and donors who are married and filing jointly can each deduct up to $300, for a total household deduction of up to $600. Note: if you are making your contribution with a debit or credit card, the form will ask you to enter your billing address before you go.
