In the heart of Orange County, California a motley crew of young cholita skaters face unsettling times. A story about community, told through the rhythms of skateboarding and the Andean culture of Bolivia. From newer roots in California and ancestral roots sprouts the next generation of women who step onto their skateboards as an act of joy and resistance.

Grandma by Rachel Bailey
Directed by Phone Tha
Featuring Bridgette Betanzos, Natalie Bright, Sittichai Chaiyahat, Kristina Leach and Lex Levy
In the not-so-distant future, Grandma has been reborn. After her death, her DNA and brain were used to create a clone of herself; however, something went wrong in the experiment. She has only retained her memories up until the age of 20 and has forgotten the last 60-odd years of her life before she was cloned. The grandma who left this world is starkly different than the one who came back.
Tickets:

Directed by Collette Rutherford
Featuring Damian Arteaga, Adriana Rodriguez Burciaga, Leyna Camacho, Jaqueline Castañeda, Mateo Gonzalez and Evelyn Menchaca
Callie is finding success with her short film and as a camera production assistant on professional, yet questionable sets. But her life is falling apart. Callie is shown a life out of the chaos, but is she willing to give up her filmmaking dreams? She is watching souls die on camera. Will hers be next?
We thank Joe Lauderdale and the board of No Square Theatre for their support of our cohort - the only group of its kind of OC, led by OCPA playwright Baylee Shlichtman.
